A Chinese Food Gem in New Jersey

As you've probably noticed in my past posts and my past videos, I don't necessarily subscribe to what you would call "normal" or run-of-the-mill food. It's not that I don't like them but, rather, they're a part of normal life for me and, I'm assuming, everyone else's. This includes fast food which my kids sometimes enjoy (not all the time and they do say no more often than not). Also included are take-out places like pizza, Chinese food, Mexican chains, etc.
I can certainly understand the allure of fast food or takeout food and there are those that stand out especially where I live and I certainly stick to some of those favorites since one, they're close to me and two, they're actually pretty good. There's even a convenience store that's only steps away from me where I get sandwiches and it's pretty decent stuff.
Notwithstanding the previous comments, there's a place here in Central New Jersey that, in my opinion, may be above the rest when it comes to "run-of-the-mill" food because, again, in my opinion, they're above all the other "run-of-the-mill" places. I'm talking about Pink Lotus in Metuchen, New Jersey.
My video below already speaks a ton about how good their food is. All I can say is that, for a typical-type Chinese fare, their food is not very typical. If you look at their menu, they do offer food that many people are already familiar with and that's comforting especially for those who aren't too adventurous (and there's nothing wrong with that). But, if you look at their menu closely, you might just discover your new favorite since they also offer more authentic Chinese dishes plus some Thai-inspired dishes.
So go ahead and venture in. I promise that you won't be sorry and your taste-buds will thank you.
